Des News 10k (6.21 Miles) 00:51:30 | | What a disaster. I thought I was in shape to run 1+ minutes faster than last year. Somehow ended up almost 3 minutes slower. Felt great for 2 miles then completely blew up. I've never blown up like that in a 10k. By mile 4 I mentally quit. It was completely disheartening. This was my 3rd Des News 10k and I'm clearly moving in the wrong direction.
