Day 1 of SGM training plan.  I actually purchased a semi custom plan and I intend to stick with it. 

Plan: off of 40-50 minutes

Actual: 45 minutes. I'm counting miles at 10min/miles for easy, timed runs because I hate being a slave to my garmin. It should be close enough.

What a disaster.  I thought  I was in shape to run 1+ minutes faster than last year.  Somehow ended up almost 3 minutes slower.  Felt great for 2 miles then completely blew up.  I've never blown up like that in a 10k. By mile 4 I mentally quit. It was completely disheartening. This was my 3rd Des News 10k and I'm clearly moving in the wrong direction.

Actual: 5 minutes into my warmup decided the workout would wait until tomorow. Super sore led to a super slow 4 miles.
